Collaboration for Edible Skincare
It seems everyone today is doing some sort of collaboration (you'd have to be living under a rock not to have heard about the insane reactions to H&M designer collabs!), but there are few that are going on in the world of health.
Allow me to be one of the first.
I was recently in the kitchen making some Edible Skincare that I was asked to feature on my friend's website: Whole Life Health and I am pleased to report that it is now available for viewing! My friend is expecting and longed for a cream that was rich in cocoa butter, so I shared my homemade recipe for a cream that is incredibly moisturizing and therefore great to combate stretch-marks for a growing belly!
There are instructions and pictures, so I highly suggest you click the link and check it out!
Have a silky smooth day!

Edible Skincare: Rosacea-Fighting Mask!
Me and my roommate M have lots of things in common. We love to do yoga, go to the farmer's market and both love the smell of home baking. Something not so pleasant we have discovered is the we both also suffer from Rosacea.
Rosacea is an inflammatory condition of the skin that leaves it red and painful and usually affects the cheeks, so that people with this condition look perpetually flushed. It can be made worse from stress, red wine and chocolate.
M and I are all about pampering ourselves, so when we discovered a recipe made from edible ingredients that was also touted to help us combate the redness, we both had to try it out. Here is the recipe for the Rosacea-Fighting Mask:
1/2 an avocado
1/2 cup natural greek yogurt
one fourth of an english cucumber
juice from half a lemon
1/2 cup of rolled oats, ground in a blender
Combine all the ingredients in a blender. This will make enough for 5 or more applications and the mixture will last for a week when stored in the fridge. Apply liberally to a clean face and chill out for 20 minutes. Wash it off with some lukewarm water and gently pat dry.
See? 100% edible!
The verdict? M said it was delicious and it definitely made our skin feel cool and lovely! A perfect way to combine self-care, alternative medicine and roommate bonding into one, fun-filled activity!
Fun is the most important ingredient
Have a terrifically fun-filled day!
